A focused space
Begin with one small bedroom and evaluate the cooling needs of that specific room.

A project exploring solar-powered window air conditioning for one small bedroom.
The concept pairs a window air conditioner with a dedicated solar power system, separate from the home wiring.
Equipment choices and performance still need to be validated.

We want tenants to have a comfortable room without adding as much cooling demand to their regular household electric bill. Cool Room explores using solar energy to power a dedicated room air conditioner separately from the house wiring. When solar-powered cooling replaces electricity that would otherwise come from the utility, it can reduce purchased electricity for that cooling. Our goal is meaningful savings and comfort, with the equipment, installation, battery costs, and actual performance considered before claiming an overall financial benefit.
Cool Room focuses on a single bedroom. The project is investigating how solar panels, power-control equipment, and an appropriate battery buffer could support a window air conditioner.
The design is still being developed. The size of the room, panel location, equipment compatibility, and changing sunlight all need to be considered.
Begin with one small bedroom and evaluate the cooling needs of that specific room.
Investigate solar panels, a charge controller, an inverter, and battery buffering as a compatible system separate from house wiring.
Evaluate startup, changes in sunshine, and actual cooling performance before defining the offering.
Battery sizing, air conditioner selection, panel placement, installation details, and cost are still open. Cooling duration and savings have not been established.
Cool Room is included in our launch offering nationwide, in every city and town. Visits and installations depend on qualified provider availability. Pricing is by quote; equipment and installation details will be worked out for each project as the service develops.
